Iran calls on IAEA to condemn strikes on under-construction nuclear site
Iran urged the United Nations nuclear watchdog on Monday to condemn US strikes that it said targeted the Darkhovin nuclear power plant under construction in the country's southwest.

Iran said on Monday that it would not allow the vital Strait of Hormuz to be used by its foes to threaten the country’s security, as the United States and the Islamic republic battle for the waterway’s future.
Iran to pursue diplomacy based on its national interests, say foreign ministry spokesperson
Tehran pursues war and diplomacy based on its national interests, Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson said on Monday, after being asked whether the door to talks with the US was now closed.
“I reject the duality of either war or diplomacy. Diplomacy is a tool through which we pursue our national interests, just like war,” Esmaeil Baghaei said.
US attack kills one, injures several in Iran’s Tabriz: state media
At least one individual has been killed and several others injured after the US army attacked, Al Jazeera reported, citing state media.
Majid Farshi, director general of crisis management at East Azarbaijan province, told the state news agency IRNA that the strike in the early hours of the day targeted a military area in the southwest of Tabriz city, located in northwestern Iran.
Farshi added: “Rescue, security and law enforcement agencies were present at the scene in the initial moments after the incident, and necessary measures are being taken to manage the crisis, provide relief to the victims, and investigate the exact extent of this crime.”
The US attacks focused on southern Iran up until last night.
The attack on Tabriz in northern Iran is the first outside the southern part since the latest escalation began around 10 days ago.
